Our story
Luminalis was born from a deep attachment to Montenegro, that land of contrasts where the Adriatic meets the Durmitor peaks in the span of a day. The agency was built around a simple conviction: to showcase this small Balkan country authentically, without intermediaries, and away from standardized itineraries.
The agency was founded in 2003 in Budva, on the Adriatic coast, by its founder Nataša. After traveling through the Balkans and discovering the still-hidden wealth of Montenegro's heritage for English-speaking travelers, she decided to create a receptive structure capable of offering direct and bespoke expertise. More than twenty years later, Luminalis has developed an in-depth knowledge of the territory — from the Bay of Kotor to Lake Skadar, from Orthodox monasteries to the primeval forests of Biogradska Gora — and built lasting relationships with local accommodations and partners.
Today, Nataša and Bozana coordinate an entirely English-speaking team, based in Budva. Together, they design each itinerary with the same requirement: listen, understand, and adjust.

Your payments are 100% protected by the Professional Solidarity Association for Tourism. If a service provider (hotel, transport, etc.) or the agency fails, your funds are refunded. This is a mandatory guarantee for any French travel agency — Nomadays benefits from it across its entire network.
Yes, as much as possible. Changes made more than 30 days before departure are generally free of charge (excluding hotel rate differences). As your departure approaches, some bookings become less flexible — we always inform you of your options before confirmation.
