Getting to Montenegro by Air

Flight is the easiest and most popular way to reach Montenegro. The journey takes just 2.5 to 3 hours to reach one of the country's two international airports:

• Podgorica Airport, the capital
• Tivat Airport

Getting to Montenegro by Road

For an exciting road adventure to the land of the Great Mountain, you can travel by car. The road trip will take approximately 22 hours of non-stop driving. Starting from France, the A4 motorway stretches 1,970 km to reach Montenegro. The journey will take you across several borders:

• Italy (Milan)
• Slovenia
• Croatia
• Bosnia and Herzegovina

Note that this route requires paying tolls. It's also wise to inform yourself thoroughly to avoid any complications (roadworks, closures, etc.). During this journey, service stations and rest areas are available to drivers.

Finally, it's important to remember the necessity of proper travel documents (passport, driver's license, vehicle registration, etc.) for travel outside of France. Consider obtaining a European driving permit or international driving permit to drive legally.
